22 October 2018. Mahindra Racing Has desvelado his new couple of pilots for the season 2018/19 of the championship ABB FIA of Formulate And, a mix of quality, experience and talent. The ex pilot of Formula 1 and also champion of the DTM 2015, Pascal Wehrlein, joins to Mahindra Racing to do his debut in Formula And. His mate of squad will be an experienced pilot of the Formula And and winner of two careers, Jérôme D'Ambrosio.
Wehrlein Has the record to be the youngest pilot in winning a career of the DTM and in 2015 turn the more youngster in winning the title, to the age of 20 years. Before this, his skill in the monoplazas was brilliant since it was champion of the ADAC Formulates Masters of 2011, in addition to “Top Rookie” of the Championship F3 European and runner-up of Formulates it 3 Euro Series. This youngster of 32 years incorporates a wide experience for the Indian squad, even to level of Formula 1, with 20 participations like member of the program of development of pilots of Renault F1. It has had a long career, varied and successful, with recognitions that go from being champion in the Formula Renault of Belgium and Champion of the International Formula, to be runner-up in the GP2 Asia Series. D'Ambrosio has showed to be an aggressive competitor and constant in the Formula And, with his best result in the championship in the season 2014/15, in which it remained chamber. Already it has completed a series of private tests with the monoplaza of Mahindra Racing Gen2 and these days is doing his first public start with the squad in the official essays of all the squads of Valencia.
Nick Heidfeld will continue with the family Mahindra Racing in a new role of aide and in the place of pilot of official test and of reservation. Nick has been with Mahindra Racing during three seasons after competing in the inaugural season of Formula And for Venturi GP. In his career of four years in Formula And has attained 8 podiums, 7 of which with Mahindra. His new paper, that allows him maintain like integral part of the squad, will allow him take part in several careers. Finally, the Belgian pilot Sam Dejonghe will continue with his function of pilot of simulator and development for the squad, work that began in November of 2017.
