Mahindra Finishes to give to know his new model, the Mahindra KUV100, a SUV compact of less than four metres of longitude that remains situated underneath of other models like the TUV300 and XUV500, this last on sale in Spain. The name KUV100 does reference to “Kool Utility Vehicle” whereas the number 100 indicates that it treats the smallest model of the range SUV.

This new model will arrive to the Indian market in January of 2016, being able to expand his commercialisation to other bordering countries. What is sure is that we will not see it in Europe. One of the main characteristics of the Mahindra KUV100, if we forget his design, that of course is not of Pininfarina, is that it will be a 3+3 of six squares, although unfortunately the mark has not published images of the habitáculo to be able to do us to the idea.

It will be possible to choose among seven colours of bodywork although probably with any of them achieve dissemble the disproportions of the design, that do that the llantas of 15″ with tyres 185/65 look of toy. The extension of the leading lighthouses by the fins and the manillas of the rear doors together with the form of the windows contribute to that in his set the KUV500 have an odd appearance, in spite of having his personality.

Under the hood of the Mahindra KUV100 will be able to have two different engines, one diesel and another petrol. Both will have 1.2 litres of cubic capacity and three cylinders and will be associated to a box of manual changes of five relations and to leading traction. The diesel will be turbo and common-rail with 77 CV of power, whereas the petrol will hand 82 CV, although with a pair engine notably inferior, with 190 Nm for the diesel and 115 for the petrol.

It results interesting to know that Mahindra has bet by the security in this new model, that will include of series elements like airbags frontal, control of stability, ABS and electronic distributor of braked. In occident is something compulsory in all the cars, but remember that in Indian still sell cars without these measures of security, harvesting disastrous results in the tests of crash.
